Maisan Cherry Blossom Festival
Maisan, located in Jinan-gun, Jeollabuk-do, South Korea, is renowned for its striking twin peaks, Ammaibong and Sumaibong, which resemble a horse’s ears—hence the name “Maisan,” meaning “Horse Ear Mountain.” This unique geological formation is part of Maisan Provincial Park, a breathtaking natural area that offers a rich tapestry of lush landscapes, rugged terrains, and serene valleys. The park is a popular destination for hiking enthusiasts, featuring well-marked trails suitable for all skill levels, providing stunning views and opportunities to encounter diverse wildlife.
Each spring, Maisan Provincial Park transforms into a picturesque setting for the Jinan Cherry Blossom Season, celebrated along a beautiful 3-kilometer cherry blossom tunnel that blooms in mid-April. This festival attracts numerous visitors who come to enjoy the stunning display of cherry blossoms against the backdrop of the majestic mountains. The event features various cultural performances and activities, enhancing the festive atmosphere.
Jeonju Hanok village
Jeonju Hanok Village is located in the city of Jeonju and there are over 800 traditional Korean hanok houses. Hanok Village retains its historical charms and traditions. This village is especially beautiful for its unique roof edges which are slightly raised to the sky. With Korean traditional house, you can enjoy Korean traditional food such as bibimbap, dduck galbi, and noodles as well as various delicious snacks such as ice creams, Jeonju Choco Pie, cheese chicken bbq, and so on. You can also borrow and wear Hanbok and walk around there.
